I first met the Rubik’s Cube when I was in 5^th grade because I attended my school’s math team, and it requires us to learn and compete solving the Rubiks Cube on the Math Field Day. In the beginning, I didn’t like the cube in any way, thinking that it is too hard and no use. But later, I started to develop an interest in cubing and also started to learn more kinds of cubes. In 4 months, I learned 7 more cubes by watched cubing videos on YouTube and I also practiced a lot to achieve a faster speed.

When I play cubes at school, I was often surrounded by different students. I found that there are plenty of students who are interested in the cubes. And that is my first thought to start a cubing channel on YouTube and open cubing lessons to teach how to solve cubes.

When I teach the cubes, I find there are three things that are key for a student to be able to learn the cube. First, you have to be interested in it. If you have an interest in the cube, then you are guaranteed to learn the cube at the end, but if you don’t have an interest, you will probably quit. Second, a good pathway will help you to learn all the cubes that you want more easily, and understand all of the information to the level that you can teach others. The third is that you need to have perseverance and practice every day. It just needs a small amount of time but it makes a big difference, especially if you want to solve the cubes faster and faster.

At Bullet Cubing, I try to solve the three key things above for our students. I want them to be happy and enjoy themselves when they are learning the cubes, I want Bullet Cubing to have an easy way of teaching, and also I want my students to have a useful method to practice. We have a data-proven road to success, and all students that want to learn the cube can solve it at the end of the course.

When I am teaching my students, I also have the motivation to improve my time, learn more cubes, and meet new people. After you have learned a certain amount of cubes and achieve a certain skill level, we provide the best students an opportunity to join the instructor team and provide them an opportunity to teach other same-aged students who are beginners. After you passed the instructor test, you will become an official Bullet Cubing instructor!
